IMM Cologne 2020: Rolf Benz CARA. Relaxation with character.

13.01.2020 Cologne/Nagold. Introduced exactly five years ago, the Rolf Benz CARA sofa is now a worldwide success. The wonderfully light system range that is suitable for different room sizes is one of the most popular sofas from the Black Forest design company. At IMM Cologne 2020, Rolf Benz CARA has an unmistakable “CARA CTER” with new features.

The Rolf Benz CARA sofa from Anita Schmidt is impressive with its space-saving dimensions, easy to use, hidden functions and classic ergonomics. In 2020 the customised range is available with new functional features.

New look, new layouts, new ergonomics

The cross sections have been revised to create a current, harmonious look and the transitions to the corner elements have been perfected. A new corner upholstery element now offers a symmetrical layout.

The design team was especially keen to improve the sofa’s ergonomics and increase comfort. That’s why there’s a new modular bench with relaxation function: the seat can be swivelled forwards and has an adjustable back.

In conjunction with an integrated headrest that is now even easier to use, this creates a comfortable lounge space for up to three people – a delightful, innovative feature that can be achieved within a few square metres.

Tailor-made for all sofa fans, CARA now also offers an unusual third seat depth of 52 cm. This enables an especially upright seating position, which is supported by a new, foam-upholstered back section.

New foot and side options, new occasional furniture

Rolf Benz CARA showcases new options for a contemporary look and feel. The feet designs have been enhanced with a modern, narrow sledge foot and a black fi nish. Rolf Benz CARA with its new side section to the fl oor is especially elegant.
 

What would Rolf Benz CARA be without a matching environment? The modern “CARA CTER” coordinates perfectly with the graphically designed Rolf Benz 934 coffee and side tables from labsdesign. Choose from table tops in solid wood and natural stone and combine materials in a fascinating way. The peripheral edges of the table are available in different versions. A matching cushion turns the side table into a footrest.
