Rolf Benz at the Salone del Mobile: welcome to the Palazzo dei Limoni!
In an ambience created by marrone, spice-coloured tones and sensuous midnight blue, Rolf Benz presents its new products for all areas of Living, Dining and Bedding as well as the Rolf Benz YOKO Outdoor collection, which is being unveiled internationally for the first time. The staging of the luxurious furniture label is also based on the newly opened and successfully managed Rolf Benz Haus stores, located in Hamburg’s Stadthöfe district and in the restored Union-Brauerei in Frankfurt’s Ostend.
The virtuoso interplay of forms, colours and natural materials, which people look for and enjoy at Rolf Benz, is crowned by a cinematic experience. Animated visual imagery of the new brand communication is projected onto the back of the stage, elegantly and discreetly in black and white. Complete interior designs are displayed in front of this and these, combined with the in-house cabinet furniture range and clever home accessories, satisfy the longing for warmth in a turbulent world.
In keeping with this need is the new fabric concept, in which three-dimensional fabrics, especially bouclé and velour, continue to play an important role, heralding a newly emerging preference for colourful accents. Organic, friendly and comforting forms are on trend – and these are reflected in the trade fair’s key piece, the Rolf Benz KUMO sofa.
Let’s celebrate the art of choice: the latest products
As soft and inviting as cloud 9 – that’s theseating landscape of Rolf Benz KUMO. First launched at the Hausmesse 2021 in Nagold, this is the first time that the sofa has been seen in the international arena. Silja and Norbert Beck – who can also be seen on screen at the Rolf Benz Palazzo in Milan – have designed a spacious oasis of relaxation that doesn’t have any corners or edges. Its versatile elements enable Rolf Benz KUMO to adapt itself perfectly to global layouts. With the name “Kumo”, Japanese for cloud, its newly-created seating comfort lives up to its name.
The organically formed Rolf Benz JON lounge armchair is distinctive and adaptable. Designed by Toan Nguyen, its lightweight aluminium framework ensures its versatile use. This feel-good armchair provides refined seam details and the option to mix & match the covers.
The Rolf Benz MEG SOFT relax chair by Studio Labs is the new, playfully soft twin sister of Rolf Benz MEG. With its organic appearance and casual stitching on the inside of the seat, it has an identity all of its own. Just like the Rolf Benz MEG armchair that was launched shortly before, it has an innovative relaxation function.
The Rolf Benz 972 natural stone table from Sebastian Herkner is an icon in the making. Hard materials and a soft design language – this statement table made of rounded steel and natural stone with colourful veins is full of contrasts. With all its expressiveness, it is the ideal side table for a number of sofas and armchairs.
With its simplified design language, the Rolf 976 bistro table by studio kaschkasch blends in with numerous private and commercial interiors. This round, solid wood table is impressive with its clean lines, homogenous materials and refined legs. You can fit three chairs around the table even in small spaces.
With the Rolf Benz YOKO sun lounger by Toan Nguyen, Rolf Benz is expanding its YOKO Outdoor range. A breathable cover, stepless backrest adjustability and maximum mobility with its integrated rollers make this stackable lounger a must-have in your garden or on your roof terrace.
Since the company was founded in 1964, Rolf Benz has been exploring cultural and societal developments and designing furniture to suit. In the same year, Rolf Benz presented the first ever sofa system that was designed with television viewing in mind. To date, Germany’s best-known sofa brand with customers in over 50 countries still stands for visionary design, a devotion to style, uncompromising seating comfort and Made in Germany quality. Rolf Benz design has already won several awards. Today, Rolf Benz AG has around 430 employees and manufactures its upholstered furniture itself very close to the company headquarters in Nagold. The frames are manufactured in-house in Pfalzgrafenweiler. Storage, cutting, stitching, pre-upholstery and upholstery are all based in Mötzingen. Today, only very few upholstered furniture brands are able to demonstrate such continuous in-house production. The company has belonged to Jason Furniture (Hangzhou City, China) since 2018. Rolf Benz is managed as an internationally renowned German lifestyle brand with production operations in the Black Forest.
